John A. Landers, President of Fuel Masters leads the company’s national fuel sales efforts. Mr. Landers brings 30 years of operation and management experience to the Fuel Masters' Team.
Mr. Landers is the former President of Dunigan Fuels which he started in '91. During his reign at Dunigan, the company was nationally credited within the petroleum industry for conceiving and ushering in the concept of Supermarket / Hypermart Fueling facilities. Supermarket Fueling is now universally accepted as a common practice and is now regarded as an additional profit center for the stores.
Dunigan Fuels experienced unparalleled growth nationwide with exclusive fuel supply agreements with such companies as Albertsons, Safeway, HEB, Kmart and many others.
Prior to Dunigan Fuels, Mr. Landers was associated with Pride Refining where his expertise in wholesale marketing of various petroleum products was utilized throughout the Southwest. Prior to his association with the marketing of petroleum products Mr. Landers purchased crude oil and provided training for other crude purchasers within the company.
During the '80s Mr.Landers was an owner / partner in LaMcS Oil Company which was involved in the exploration and production of crude oil.
Today Mr. Landers has successfully integrated the use of high-tech computer systems (CAPS, Computer Assisted Pricing System) to identify the best delivered product pricing nationwide for the hundreds of customers being supplied by Fuel Masters.
Additionally, Fuel Masters is a proud supplier to numerous military bases throughout the US.
Mr. Landers and his wife reside in Ovalo, Texas where he is actively involved in numerous church and civic related activities. Mr. Landers is also an avid hunter and enjoys working on his ranch.
Jamie A. Landers serves as Vice-President and General Manager for the company. Mr. Landers has been involved in all aspects of the wholesale fueling industry since his teen years and has over 15 years of professional petroleum experience.
Prior to joining Fuel Masters, Mr. Landers was a Project Manager with Fuel Links, Inc. While at Fuel Links Mr. Landers was responsible for software product development and supermarket fueling site installations. Today Mr. Landers oversees the Fuel Masters technology directives. Mr. Landers has overseen the complete development and implementation for one of the fuel industries most sophisticated pricing, ordering, dispatching, billing and accounting systems the CAPS (Computer Assisted Pricing System).
Mr. Landers is avid sportsman and enjoys off road adventures either by 4 wheeling in Jeeps or by flying airplanes as a private pilot.
Cory Kohutek is the Controller of Finance and Accounting and has the responsibility of all corporate accounting and financial operations. Mr. Kohutek is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Abilene Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants; Certified Public Accountant Certificate Number 088142.
Prior to joining Fuel Masters, Mr. Kohutek was with Davis, Kinard and Co., P.C., an Abilene, Texas based CPA firm. While at Davis, Kinard and Co., P.C., Mr. Kohutek primarily performed audits of retail marketing, financial institutions, governmental entities, and not for profit entities, as well as having an emphasis in the tax department.
Mr. Kohutek, his wife, and son, reside in Abilene, Texas. Mr. Kohutek is an avid hunter and enjoys archery shooting in the off season.
Dale Dixon is Operations Manager for Fuel Masters. He oversees all of inside sales and dispatching efforts for the company. He is in constant communication with carrier companies, and leverages his experience in this field during his daily interaction with Fuel Masters dispatch team.
Mr. Dixon has 27 years of experience in the trucking industry. Prior to joining Fuel Masters, he was Regional Manager for United Petroleum Transport, and previous to that filled many management positions within East Texas Petroleum.
Mr. Dixon attended Breckenridge High School and the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Dixon is an avid outdoorsman, and spends much of his off time pursuing these interests. He and his wife enjoy bass fishing throughout the state of Texas, and also allot time to bird and deer hunting as well.
Bobby Grimes serves as Marketing Manager for Fuel Masters. He is charged with overseeing the outside sales activities of the company in an effort to continually grow the wholesale division of Fuel Masters.
Mr. Grimes also oversees various areas of Risk Management for the company, including, but not limited to, hedging activities, competitor interaction, and supplier relations.
Prior to joining Fuel Masters Mr. Grimes was employed by Citigroup, where he managed multiple retail bank locations, catering to personal and commercial businesses in depository and lending capacities.
Mr. Grimes is a graduate of Texas Tech University, and still a staunch supporter of the university.
Mr. Grimes and his wife reside in the Abilene area, and enjoy many facets of hunting, fishing, and international travel.
Kit Kimbrell is the Supply Manager for Fuel Masters. He is responsible for the daily pricing functions for Fuel Masters. Mr. Kimbrell also works with governmental entities and school districts for fuel procurement, and also managing relationships with suppliers and refiners for product placement and carrier authorizations at the majority of terminals in the United States.
Kit began his career in the petroleum business in 1983 by working as a territory sales rep for Pride Refining. By the time he left Pride in 1997, he had been promoted to manager of the wholesale marketing office, with wholesale pricing responsibilities for gasoline, diesel and kerosene at three company-owned terminals.
After leaving Pride, Kit began working for Dunigan Fuels as a fuel dispatcher for wholesale customers, helping with daily pricing responsibilities to its more than 200 customer-base. Mr. Kimbrell is an avid collegiate and professional sports fan. He is also a supporter of local Abilene sports activities.
